Dumb criminal comes in......

So, I'm working late at the store yesterday. Guy walks in and casually walks around eventually making his way over to the roller grill with hotdogs and brats. Makes a couple of brats and just eats them right there leaving the bun containers on the counter. Walks up to the counter and pays for a coke he got and starts walking out the door. My asst. manager shouts out "Sir, please come back here" several times...guy keeps going. Running straight across the street to the Lee's Summit Police Department where his vehicle was parked in the lot. I had gotten into my vehicle and pretty much met him as he was approaching his. He ducks down behind, looking in the direction of the store. (He's parked in the front row too) Unlocks the back doors of his van, jumps in and shuts the curtains. Few lawyers, city personnel, and others just standing there watching him. I'm on my cell phone like "Yes, maam, I'm in the parking lot out front.." Cop pulls up behind and begins questioning. Eventually, he admitted to stealing and paid for the brats and apologized. The reason why he was parked there is because he had a court appearance to make. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid.....
