Flood Driving Out West Bottoms People - Higher Water Coming.

Kansas City is again the victim of high water. At noon today a telephone message from the West bottoms stated that the water was backing up through the sewers and flooding the streets, and that many of the people were vacating their ground floors and preperations to move to higher ground on short notice were being made.

At 11 o'clock a report from Topeka said that the Kaw would raise seven feet higher at Kansas City by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

It is estimated that the Missouri will go to 26 or 27 feet. A comparison of the conditions in June, 1903 and at present is hard to estimate, owing to the new dikes which have been built since that time.

A false alarm caused the fire department to make a run to A. J. Bundshu's store at 10 o'clock Saturday night. The call came in over the telephone, and efforts to find out who turned in the alarm were unsuccessful.
