One Killed, Two Seriously Injured in Multi-vehicle Crash

A multi-vehicle traffic crash killed one and seriously injured two others when a motor vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:30 pm on September 12th, 2020. The crash occurred at 23rd and Noland which resulted in the death of the driver of one of the vehicles. The driver and passenger in a second vehicle are both in serious, but stable condition. Police say a 2020 Kia Soul, traveling south on Noland Road rear-ended a 2013 BMW 5 Series stopped at a red light. Witnesses reported that the Kia was traveling well over the speed limit when it hit the BMW. The driver of the BMW was transported to Centerpoint Hospital but later succumbed to injuries. The driver and passenger of the Kia Soul were transported to Centerpoint Hospital with serious injuries, but are in stable condition. The identity of the deceased driver is not being released at this time pending notification of the family. The crash remains under investigation; however, excessive speed appears to be a major factor in the outcome of the crash.
