The victim of the shooting on 1-20-22 at 40 Hwy and Valley View Rd, previously in critical condition, has died. 23-year-old Riley Youngblood of Independence was shot in his vehicle near 40 Hwy and Valley View Rd around 8:00AM Thursday. Police say no motive is known and Detectives are still working to develop leads to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. Detectives are still trying to locate a dark gray Chevrolet pickup that was seen on security cameras near the victim’s vehicle when the shooting occurred and would like to identify the driver of that vehicle who is considered a person of interest in the case.
