Independence police are investigating a homicide that occurred around 8:30 p.m. this evening in the 3300 block of S Sterling. They are asking anyone with information to contact the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS or IPD directly at 816-325-7300. The victims name has not been released at this time.
