“A 21-year-old Kansas City man faces multiple felony charges in connection with a Dec. 6, 2021, fatal shooting of Jabraughn James and the wounding of two other men, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Kershmire Ralls, dob: 4/28/2000, faces 11 felony counts including Murder 1st Degree, two Assault 1st Degree, five Armed Criminal Action, two Discharge of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm..*
According to court records filed late Wednesday, Kansas City police in the early morning hours of Dec. 6, 2021 were dispatched to the Westport area of Archibald and Broadway. They found the James who was later deceased at the hospital. They also found or learned about two other shooting victims, one with life-threatening injuries. The defendant has two felony convictions, including unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Video from the Westport area shows the defendant chasing and firing shots at the three victims whom the defendant observed in a bar. The defendant travels to various portions of the Westport area on foot and by vehicle before using an alley that allows him to intercept the victims (who appear to have no idea they are in danger) without being seen. The defendant fires multiple shots at the victims and they flee, hitting all three victims.
Prosecutors requested the defendant be held on no bond.”
