Two Charged in Fatal Shooting

Two men have been charged in the homicide of Shonay Persinger in Independence.

Ivory D. Alford faces Murder 2nd Degree and Attempted Robbery 1st Degree.

Isaiah Woods-Miller faces Murder 2nd Degree and Attempted Robbery 1st Degree.

According to court records, Independence police were dispatched to the 9300 block of E. 16th Street on a reported shooting in Independence. The officers found the victim in the residence. She was deceased from a gunshot wound. A shell casing was found nearby.
