Independence Police Investigating Shooting

Independence police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 19100 block of E. 6th St N (Susquehanna Area). On January 25, 2021 at around 1:45 AM, for unknown reasons, a tall, slender white or Hispanic male arrived in the area of the residence in a light colored mini-van. The suspect then walked to the door of the residence and knocked. The victim’s dog came to the door and barked at the subject. He then fired three rounds through the door in the direction of the floor, striking the dog in the paw. The dog was injured, but not fatally. The suspect then fled the scene.
