Independence Police Issue Silver Alert

SILVER ALERT UPDATE: Shirley Baker has been located and is safe.

Independence police have issued an Endangered Silver Advisory Alert for 84-year-old Shirley Jean Baker. Shirley is known to have various medical issues. She is a white female, 5’5”, 120 lbs with short grey hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink sweatshirt with black lettering and pink sweatpants. Shirley was last seen around 8:00 PM yesterday evening (6/15/21) at her residence in the 1000 block of W. Truman Rd in Independence, MO. She is believed to have left on foot, in an unknown direction. Police are asking anyone who sees Shirley is asked to call 911 or the Independence Police Department at (816) 836-3600.
