The Independence Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 24 Highway & 291 on a smoke investigation about 3:11 p.m. this afternoon. The call was upgraded to a building fire moments later. The first crew on the scene reported the building was fully engulfed. Fire investigators are now on the scene.
