Independence Man Faces Felony Charge After Death Threat of Jackson County Judge

An Independence man faces a felony charge after he threatened to kill a Jackson County judge, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today. Bryon G. Postlethwait faces a Class D felony charge of Tampering With a Judicial Officer. According to court records, witnesses told police that the defendant told his family intended to kill a Jackson County judge before he killed himself.
