Around 2:00 PM today, Independence police responded to a nature unknown call in the 2300 block of S. Crescent Avenue. A teenage female was located inside of the residence deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Police sat the case is being investigated as a homicide. Th identity of the victim has not been released.
